Overview

Maintenance Worker position at Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio
. Full‑time day shift. Pay rate between $19–21 per hour.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and facility systems.
• Complete basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and custodial tasks as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep all equipment and utility rooms clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, work orders, and inspections.
• Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, communicating with residents and the community manager.
• Perform regular property inspections and seasonal tasks such as snow removal and grounds keeping.
• Support compliance with HUD, OSHA, and LSS safety standards, including participation in inspections.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Assist in unit turnover and reconditioning for new residents.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable insured transportation, and ability to meet LSS insurance standards.
