Environmental Services - Custodial Worker 2 - OSU East at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

Custodial Workers at the Wexner Medical Center work under general supervision from an administrative superior. They specialize in advanced cleaning methods and/or project work to meet health, safety, regulatory, and customer satisfaction standards. You will play a meaningful role in maintaining safe and healthy environments for patients, students, student residents, staff, faculty, and/or guests in a variety of settings.

Per Classified Civil Service Specifications.

• Six months of custodial work desired and/or equivalent experience.
• Capability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to read and write common vocabulary (preferred).
• Successful completion of department‑specific advanced custodian certification testing (examples include Cleaning Management Institute, 3M, S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other recognized cleaning industry certifications).

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
