Facilities Maintenance Tech V – 1st shift

Compensation: $33.35 per hour, plus $10,000 retention bonus

An established tier-one automotive component manufacturer is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician V to join its Ohio production facility. This role is critical to keeping equipment running smoothly and minimizing unplanned downtime across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Repair and maintain equipment as assigned to ensure smooth operations
• Conduct periodic equipment inspections
• Address mechanical, control, thermal, and electrical problems
• Research, test, and implement new products and cost-cutting ideas
• Identify, schedule, and manage improvement and group activities
• Perform moderately complex troubleshooting and repairs
• Mentor lower-level technicians

• Minimum of 8 years technical experience (a 2 Year Degree counts as 1 year of experience and a 4 Year Degree counts as 2 years of experience)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to independently identify and repair problems of a moderately complex nature
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Applies knowledge of repairs and troubleshooting with minimal guidance
• Uses independent judgment on a regular basis
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of department processes
• Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work well independently and with a team
• Willingness to work required overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines
• Availability for occasional overnight travel to remote locations for essential functions or training
