Controller, Management, Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction and development accounting activities, including job costing, draw schedules, WIP reporting, and multi-project financial oversight
• Manage accounting for multiple legal entities, properties, and development projects within a complex, multi-entity structure
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and timely close processes
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports for ownership, members, and investors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across construction and real estate portfolios
• Coordinate federal tax compliance, working closely with external tax advisors and reviewing completed returns
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Partner with operations, project managers, and leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making
• Oversee and optimize the use of Sage Intacct or similar enterprise accounting systems

• Experience as a Controller in construction and development accounting
• CPA license required (active or non-practicing acceptable)
• Experience with job costing, draws, and multi-project oversight
• Demonstrated managerial and leadership experience, including direct oversight of accounting staff and team performance
• Working knowledge of federal tax returns, including coordination with external tax advisors and review of completed filings
• Experience with real estate property management accounting
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar enterprise-level accounting systems
