IPM & Fertigation Supervisor

Department: Cultivation

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Columbus-Bolton field, OH

Reporting To: Facilities General Manager

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 / year

Description

The IPM/Fertigation Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the plant fertigation and integrated pest management activities within our state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation facility. This position offers the opportunity to implement and refine our fertigation strategies and pest management practices, ensuring the health and productivity of our plants.

What does the day-to-day look like?
  • Manage all aspects of plant nutrition and pest control to support cultivation goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and application of nutrient solutions to ensure proper fertigation.
  • Monitor and adjust pH levels, EC, and PPM filtration for optimal plant health.
  • Regulate climate control settings to maintain ideal growing conditions.
  • Develop and execute integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to prevent and control pest issues.
  • Conduct routine testing and monitoring to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Maintain inventory of nutrients, pest control supplies, and related materials.
  • Lead and train a team, ensuring adherence to company SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in cultivation practices.
So, who are we looking for?
  • Are at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Have extensive experience in cultivation or agriculture with a strong focus on fertigation systems and pest management.
  • Possess expert knowledge of plant health, nutrient requirements, and pest/disease management strategies.
  • Are experienced in managing teams and developing operational plans that enhance productivity and ensure compliance with agricultural best practices.
  • Show proficiency in using fertigation management and climate control software.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
