Veterinary Medical Center | Accounting The Ohio State University's Veterinary Health System is seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Financial Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s financial operations. As a member of Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) Finance team and billing manager, this position is responsible for accurate and efficient finance services for the VMC System, consisting of a 30 million dollar 5 hospital enterprise, and its units.

This position will be responsible for directing financial reporting activities, managing the accounting function, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, and leading financial analysis and planning. Oversees the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Reviews and analyzes income statements, balance sheets, and other key reports to ensure accuracy and transparency. Provide custom and ad hoc reporting for leadership.

Develop, refine, and maintain tools for budgeting and reporting. Prepare annual operating budgets with departmental input and monitor performance against financial targets. Liaison with Ohio Attorney General’s Office regarding customer collections. Utilizes advanced financial analysis techniques, Excel functions, and reporting tools within ezyVet and other systems to extract and interpret data for informed decision-making.

** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 6 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
