Job Description Summary
Oversees, plans, develops, and coordinates programs and plans that result in profitable sales at agreed upon growth rates, acceptable premium, persistency, independent agency strength, and expense levels.
Job DescriptionReports to: VP, Sales & Distribution - Personal Lines
Key Responsibilities- PL AVP of Partner Management Team leads 5 Directors accountable for the PL strategic alignment and overall activation of the top 33 firms who partner with Nationwide on personal lines insurance.
- Responsible for development and effectiveness of direct report teams; operates in a collaborative work environment partnering with internal peer organizations to maximize results.
- Oversees selection, training, evaluation, and compensation of the sales organization to ensure a high degree of competency and professionalism.
- Oversees planning and development of integrated sales programs; secures production of a satisfactory volume of new quality business and maintains high persistency of policies in force.
- Recommends sales production quotas for all lines of insurance and associated products.
- Responsible for delivery of quality data at the agency level at the point of acquisition.
- Responsible for independent agency revenue and growth to meet company plans.
- Monitors independent agent recruiting activities to ensure sufficient number of quality candidates to meet agency strength requirements.
- Plans, implements, and communicates policies, procedures, and financial budgets that result in attainment of sales objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Regional responsibility for Allied independent agencies.
Leadership Accountability- Developing Strategy: Defines potential growth opportunity and plan to achieve through execution, production goals and talent.
- Providing Input on Strategic Direction: Provides recommendations and input on strategic opportunities to regional leadership and other senior leaders across the company.
- Executing Strategy: Drives implementation through direct reports across the regional territory.
- Education: Undergraduate studies in insurance, business, finance, marketing or related field.
- License/Certification/Designation: Technical designation such as CPCU, CLU, or equivalent insurance education preferred.
- Experience: Ten years of field sales management or technical insurance experience.

Skills:
Proven knowledge of sales program development, distribution systems, and training concepts involving products, rules, and rating plans. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with all levels of management; advanced organizational abilities and capability to manage several diverse tasks concurrently; high levels of credibility and professionalism in dealings with senior executives and the board of directors. - Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Job Conditions- Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)
- Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Travel expectations are approximately 50%.
