The DC Manager oversees and directs the outbound product from the Corporate Distribution Center to Chadwell Supply distribution branches, including checking, counting product to be shipped against picking orders and transfer purchase order documents for quantity and shipment accuracy.
What you will need- Previous management experience in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Prepare, track, and expedite transfer shipments and paperwork.
- Ensure accurate data entry and communication of shipment changes.
- Maintain records of shipments and resolve discrepancies with OSD and other departments.
- Supervise receiving and transfer teams.
- Train employees and conduct performance evaluations.
- Monitor employee performance, resolve issues, and enforce company policies.
- Oversee receiving, labeling, stocking, and organization of inbound products.
- Handle import container receiving and ensure timely returns.
- Maintain safe, clean warehouse and dock areas, including conducting safety meetings.
- Communicate with internal departments, vendors, and freight companies.
- Assist with customer backorders and facilitate order fulfillment.
- Manage paperwork, labeling, product selection, palletizing, and loading/unloading of shipments.
- Optimize bin locations for efficient stocking and pulling.
- Arrange shipping logistics (UPS, LTL, etc.).
