The Landscape Construction Project Manager will oversee landscape installation projects including hardscapes, softscapes, and plantings.

SummaryThis position will manage commercial and residential projects in Central Ohio from start to finish. Position will facilitate the timely completion of jobs by scheduling crews, ordering materials, and coordinating the delivery of products for each job in a logical manner. Knowledge of pre‑construction documents, site meetings, submittals, RFI’s, and change orders is required. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and field staff.
Must have a thorough understanding of contracts and specs, and the ability to comprehend blueprints and landscape drawings. Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to manage site crews directly, and have a good attitude!
Oversee Residential and Commercial Landscape Foremen, Equipment Mechanics, and work in conjunction with fellow Project Managers and Supervisors.
- Review daily the job sheets and ship tickets before 6:45 AM.
- Visit jobsites regularly, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality.
- Maintain day‑to‑day working knowledge of all contracts in progress.
- Assist Crew Leaders with any routing or scheduling/work‑sharing issues.
- Monitor and direct crew activity and departure each morning.
- Paperwork prepared and ready for crews every morning.
- Check out/collect tools and equipment.
- Compare actual hours to estimated and help crew achieve goal of meeting or beating the hours’ goal.
- Snow and Ice Management in winter months.
- Participate in the reviews, training, and all personal action situations involving Foremen, Assistant Foremen, and Crew Members.
- Pre‑planning all up‑coming projects, i.e. prepare and schedule crew, equipment, subcontractors, order all materials (see Nursery Manager on plants), pre‑installation site visit, and needed paperwork and plans.
- Daily monitoring of crew progress, use of materials and hours budgeted, site and shop cleanliness and safety.
- Construction Management degree, or other relevant education or experience is preferred.
- 3+ years of Project Management in a landscape construction environment is required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean background.
