Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Project Manager to support a portfolio of transmission‑related projects associated with the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF). This role will support loan application activities, ongoing operations, and compliance efforts.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Grant Submittal Manager, Grant Compliance Manager, and EDF Contract Manager to coordinate project workflows, manage timelines, track deliverables, and ensure all activities related to loan applications, eligibility reviews, and compliance requirements are completed on schedule.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple work streams, and consistent follow‑through. The Project Manager will play a key role in facilitating accurate and timely submissions, maintaining compliance with federal requirements, and supporting the successful acquisition and administration of federal funding.
The Project Manager will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the transmission project portfolio progresses in alignment with DOE expectations, internal schedules, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Project Coordination- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of federal loan application and compliance activities.
- Coordinate tasks across multiple teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and established timelines.
- Manage compliance requirements for assigned transmission projects under the EDF loan program.
- Ensure all documentation, approvals, and reporting meet DOE expectations and internal processes.
- Collaborate with environmental subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal teams to gather, organize, and maintain required application and compliance documentation.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submission‑ready.
- Develop and maintain project timelines.
- Track milestones and deliverables to support timely submission for DOE eligibility review.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, external partners, and EDF stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of progress, deadlines, and key requirements throughout the process.
- Identify potential risks to project timelines or compliance.
- Develop and support mitigation strategies to address issues as they arise.
- Prepare regular project status updates and reports.
- Flag risks, delays, or issues and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Grant Submittal Manager during application preparation and submission.
- Support the Grant Compliance Manager with EDF loan compliance documentation and execution.
- Support the EDF Contract Manager with federal loan application and contract‑related activities.
- Build and maintain working relationships with EDF representatives.
- Communicate regularly with EDF leads to support compliance and project alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP certification desired.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
- Experience in electric utility transmission, federal grant or loan applications, federal funding programs, or federal award compliance preferred.
