Responsibilities
  • Proven design/build project execution experience, including subcontractor management and integration of mechanical/electrical systems
  • Skilled in contract negotiations, financial forecasting, and subcontractor management
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and present to C-level executives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Business Administration – (or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, One Drive/SharePoint, and MS Project
Plusses
  • PMP/PMI certification
  • MBA or advanced business degree
  • Procore or equivalent construction management software preferred.
Day to Day

My client is hiring for a Senior Project Manager to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio. They will report to the project executive. This person must be prepared to take ownership of projects worth $5M–$50M+. They are responsible for delivering assigned projects through Detailed Design (Stage
2) and Project Delivery (Stage
3). They will lead subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery. The Senior Project Manager must have strong design/build project execution experience, ensuring that facility construction and equipment integration are managed seamlessly from detailed design through commissioning.

Essential Functions
  • Manage assigned projects from detailed design through commissioning and closeout.
  • Execute projects with a design/build focus, translating design intent into integrated construction and equipment solutions.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader, ensuring subcontractors and suppliers deliver to contract scope and quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage budgets, schedules, bills of material, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards across all subcontractors and site activities.
  • Forecast project performance and report to Project Executive and leadership.
  • Manage day-to-day project challenges, escalating issues to Project Executive when necessary.
  • Lead and mentor APMs and Project Administrators.
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain discipline among subcontractors.
  • Ensure polished, professional communication with clients during project execution.
