Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor oversees daily Picking, Packing, and Shipping activities for both Wholesale and Consumer orders. This role also manages the local delivery program servicing coffee shops and grocery stores. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on operational experience with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Daily Operations
  • Oversee Picking, Packing, and Shipping for all order types (Wholesale and Consumer).
  • Prepare the daily workload and assign team members to specific tasks.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Maintain high levels of order accuracy and customer service.
Delivery Program Management
  • Manages and regularly reviews effectiveness of daily delivery routes to local coffee shops and grocery stores.
  • Oversee delivery drivers, routing, schedules, and vehicle readiness.
  • Ensure timely, professional, and accurate deliveries.
Freight / Outbound Logistics
  • Schedule and coordinate LTL shipments.
  • Communicate with carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth outbound logistics.
People Leadership
  • Supervise daily work of team members in fulfillment and delivery.
  • Approve time off, schedule changes, and daily/weekly payroll entries.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support to the team.
  • Promote a positive, safety‑first work environment.
  • Support training of new hires and cross training for existing teams.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement
  • Help establish, track, and report productivity standards.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, speed, and accuracy.
Inventory & Inbound Support
  • Assist with unloading inbound shipments as needed.
  • Support inventory accuracy through correct material handling and following documented processes.
  • Communicate discrepancies or issues promptly.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety rules, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain clean and organized aisles, workstations, equipment, and docks.
  • Participate in the Food Safety Committee and support compliance with all food safety and GMP protocols, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment operations.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Picking/Packing operations and freight scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse conditions.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with WMS systems (Net Suite WMS a plus).
  • Experience leading delivery programs.
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles (FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, etc.).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement systems.
