The City of Columbus, Department of Technology, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking a program manager to assist with the rollout of a citywide strategic roadmap initiative. The mayor’s office is leading the initiative and will provide direction to the program manager.

OverviewThe initiative is being managed using a waterfall schedule, which feeds two‑week sprints for multiple work groups. It is managed using Smartsheets. The program manager will work closely with the core team to plan the program and projects, facilitate meetings, support working groups, lead sprint planning, assist with organizational change management, and help maintain momentum across all work groups.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the project coordinator responsible for managing the initiative schedule, preparing sprint cycles, managing the control log (risk/issues, action items, decisions, questions), scheduling meetings, and providing general assistance to the initiative leadership team.
- Collaborate with initiative leadership, change network strategists, and the EPMO to guide program execution.
- Assist the team in gaining stakeholder buy‑in and communicate objectives and deliverables across all organizational levels.
- Help develop and implement strategies to meet objectives and milestones.
We seek an experienced program manager with proven ability to lead change in a not‑yet federated environment. Experience leading strategic roadmap, planning, or portfolio efforts is desired. The successful candidate should be able to speak to all levels of the organization, clearly articulate objectives and deliverables, and provide guidance on how best to meet objectives and milestones.
