The Resident Manager supports the assigned Property Manager and plays a vital role in the daily operations of the property. The Resident Manager resides on-site and maintains the safety, cleanliness, and order of common areas, addresses tenant requests, and fosters a positive living environment. This is a part-time position (no more than 24 hours/week) with flexible hours. This role involves regular communication with the Property Manager and Regional Manager to support tenants in maintaining independent living within a safe, supportive community.

The position pays minimum wage and includes free rent and utilities. Applicants for the Live-In Resident Manager position must successfully complete the standard residential screening process and meet eligibility requirements to qualify as an approved residential applicant prior to hire.

What you will do in the role:

Tenant Support and Monitoring:
Promote a safe and respectful living environment by supporting tenant adherence to community standards, responding to emergencies, addressing conflicts through de-escalation, and reporting incidents requiring intervention to appropriate staff.

Property Maintenance:
Routinely inspect common areas (hallways, laundry rooms, lobbies, recreational spaces) to ensure cleanliness and order; report concerns to the Property Manager. Ensure safety measures are upheld. Perform groundskeeping duties, including removal of loose trash, clutter, and hazards.

Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and fire regulations. Implement and monitor building security and emergency preparedness measures. Respond efficiently to health or safety emergencies and report incidents to appropriate parties.

Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate documentation of tenant interactions and property-related matters through completion of Daily Activity Logs, Yardi notes, and UIR submissions. Submit emergent maintenance requests in a timely manner through the Maintenance Request Line. Assist with obtaining required tenant signatures and documentation as assigned. Deliver tenant notices and attend court proceedings as needed to provide testimony or documentation.

Communication and Coordination:
Maintain consistent communication with the Property Manager and Regional Manager regarding tenant well-being, property conditions, and emerging concerns. Participate in routine meetings to provide updates on tenant matters and property status. Coordinate with supportive housing and maintenance teams as appropriate.

What you bring to the role:

High School diploma or equivalent required and previous experience in housing, mental health, social work, or case management preferred.

General understanding of mental health and crisis intervention.

Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology utilized in role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with tenants, staff, and service providers.

Ability to manage and resolve conflicts or disputes among tenants.

Basic knowledge of property maintenance and repair, with the ability to perform minor groundskeeping tasks.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Compassionate and patient, with a desire to support special populations in their independent living environment.

Responsible, reliable, and able to respond to tenant needs promptly, including during after-hours emergencies.
