Maintenance Manager – ODW Logistics
The Maintenance Manager for ODW Logistics is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities at the company's distribution centers in Central Ohio. This includes managing a team of maintenance technicians, facility technicians and outside contractors, scheduling and coordinating preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Functions- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working order
- Manage a team of supervisors, maintenance technicians at automated and non-automated facilities
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies, including certification bodies such as AIB, SQF and ODA
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and outside contractors
- Provide regular maintenance reports to management
- Procure parts for MHE, conveyance and facilities infrastructure
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and following regulatory guidelines
- Assist with the development of short-range and long-range repair and maintenance plans
- Develop, implement and maintain technical and leadership training program for supervisors and technicians
- Takes action to ensure all company locations are compliant with local or federal safety laws and OSHA regulations
- Develop and retain technicians and supervisors

- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance manager role
Skills and Background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience managing multiple facilities, specifically in a logistics or distribution center
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment including conveyors, PLCs, control systems, robotics, carton erectors, print and apply systems
- Understanding of facilities infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, concrete, dock and doors, roofing, groundskeeping and fire suppression
- Experience selecting and working with outside vendors
- Experience preparing and working within a budget
Language Requirements
- Ability to hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate
Physical and Mental Requirements
Frequently required to sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb or reach on even and uneven surfaces. The work environment involves extreme temperatures outside (hot/cold); internally the warehouse environment is controlled and non-controlled. Standard office environment is normal.
Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses).
