Warehouse Manager — Food & Beverage Distribution Position Summary
Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping for perishable and non-perishable products, while managing warehouse staff and ensuring food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
- Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and lot tracking
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FSMA, GMP) and cold chain protocols
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff
- Track KPIs (order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity) and drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics on inventory and demand planning
- Manage warehouse budget, vendor relationships, and WMS usage
- 3+ years of warehouse or operations management experience
- Experience managing teams of 10+
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and WMS systems
- Forklift and warehouse safety experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in refrigerated/frozen environments
- Startup or high-growth experience — comfortable building processes from scratch
- Food and beverage distribution experience, including cold chain and food safety compliance
- Food safety certification (Serv Safe, HACCP) and/or WMS implementation experience
