What You'll Do:
Lead agency strategic sourcing, purchasing, and contracting activities. Manage solicitations, bids, proposals, evaluations, contract awards, and related procurement processes. Partner with internal customers to understand business needs and develop appropriate sourcing solutions. Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate assigned staff. Assist with the development and implementation of agency purchasing and contracting procedures. Build productive relationships with vendors, state agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor market trends, supply sources, and opportunities to improve procurement practices. Help identify process improvements that strengthen service delivery, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Minimum qualifications for this classification include one of the following:
Have at least 4 ½ years' experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing to include exp. in performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategy & evaluating vendor performance. Completion of undergraduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field with at least 2 ½ years' experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
