Position Summary:

The Regional Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory operations across multiple pharmacy locations within an assigned region. This position ensures inventory accuracy, operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies while serving as the primary inventory leader for the region.

The Regional Inventory Manager works closely with Pharmacy Operations, Purchasing, and local leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, strengthen inventory controls, and drive overall inventory performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day inventory leadership for assigned pharmacy locations.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and cycle count reviews.
  • Lead and coordinate physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory adjustments, returns, transfers, and high-cost medication activity.
  • Review inventory reports, KPIs, and financial metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Coach, train, and mentor Inventory Technicians and pharmacy staff on inventory best practices.
  • Partner with Pharmacy Managers, Purchasing, and Operations to improve inventory accuracy and workflow.
  • Ensure consistent execution of inventory standards across all assigned locations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with new pharmacy openings, acquisitions, and inventory transitions as needed.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to support operations and conduct inventory audits.
  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent pharmacy, inventory management, or supply chain experience.
  • 5+ years of inventory management, pharmacy operations, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Previous experience managing multiple locations preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach, train, and mentor pharmacy staff.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
