Based onsite at a pet food manufacturing facility, you will lead facilities management activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations that support production, employees, and business objectives.
As a Facilities Manager, you will oversee building operations, maintenance programs, vendor partnerships, capital projects, and workplace safety while leading a team of facilities professionals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do- Lead and develop a facilities team, providing coaching, performance management, training, and ongoing support.
- Coordinate daily facility operations, maintenance activities, and work schedules to ensure business continuity.
- Manage repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects through technicians, contractors, and service providers.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and drive resolution of facility-related issues.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial variance reporting.
- Conduct facility inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Oversee environmental health and safety programs, promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
- Manage vendor contracts, procurement activities, invoicing processes, and service performance.
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of facilities, building operations, maintenance, or related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience leading, mentoring, developing, and managing employee performance.
- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, repairs, building systems, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, capital projects, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve complex issues.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
