Empact Technologies is the leading provider of compliance and risk management to the clean energy and critical infrastructure sectors. We leverage our AI-native NexusIQ™ platform and an expert services team to provide unparalleled coverage of labor and supply chain compliance—including Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) restrictions, Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements, Domestic Content, and Beginning of Construction (BOC)—under the Inflation Reduction Act and the One Big Beautiful Bill.
Our platform is trusted by developers, owners, EPCs, and tax credit investors managing billions of dollars in tax credits. In a market where regulatory complexity is growing and the consequences of noncompliance are severe, Empact provides the only turnkey solution that combines proprietary compliance data, AI-native workflows, and deep regulatory expertise.
Why This Role ExistsThree forces are converging to create an exceptional opportunity:
- Market inflection:
New regulatory requirements—particularly Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) restrictions under the One Big Beautiful Bill—are creating urgent, high-stakes compliance risk for project developers and tax credit investors. Demand for NexusIQ is accelerating, and our customers expect a sophisticated yet intuitive solution. - Category formation:
No clear category leader has emerged in compliance and risk management for clean energy tax credit monetization. The company that defines the category narrative wins the market—and you will be the person who shapes that narrative. - Product differentiation:
NexusIQ combines proprietary compliance data with AI-native workflows, creating a defensible advantage against services-heavy incumbents, manual processes, and in-house solutions. This is a genuinely differentiated product to bring to market—not a commodity being dressed up.
We are seeking a highly technical, execution-oriented Product Marketing Manager & Sales Engineer. This specialized hybrid role bridges the gap between our product development, our marketing leadership, and our enterprise sales team.
Reporting directly to Empact’s marketing lead, you will be responsible for translating high-level marketing strategy into technical reality, then articulating why it matters for our customers and partners. Internally, you will serve as the "Product SME" for the sales team and the "Customer Voice" for the engineering team, ensuring that our software (NexusIQ™) and expert services are perfectly packaged and demonstrated to meet the rigorous demands of the clean energy financing ecosystem.
On a given day, you might redefine NexusIQ’s FEOC positioning after new IRS guidance is released, then pivot to delivering a tailored platform demo to a general counsel at a major utility who wants to understand how we streamline audits. Then, you’re translating customer feedback from a Quarterly Business Review (Q ) into a prioritized set of product requirements for engineering.
Finally, you’ll be reviewing the product roadmap to ensure that we can give our customers visibility into what they can expect. The common thread: you are the connective tissue between what we build, how we sell it, and what the market needs.
This is Empact’s first dedicated product marketing and sales engineering hire. You won’t inherit someone else’s playbook—you’ll write it. You’ll have the latitude to define how the function operates, what it prioritizes, and how it scales as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For Technical Product Marketing (50%)- Market & Regulatory Research:
Conduct deep-dive research into evolving IRA and OBBB requirements to identify unmet customer needs and define Empact’s "right to win" in existing and emerging categories of compliance and risk…
