NDE Level II Technicians — Minutemen Direct has a 1st and 2nd shift direct hire opening with a metal fabricating company in Cleveland, OH. Requires ASNT-TC-1A certification including classroom training and OJT. Pay is $30-$40 starting, depending on the number of certifications.
ShiftShift options: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 2nd shift Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM.
Responsibilities- Inspect materials and components using specialized equipment to examine condition without causing damage.
- Identify defects, including flaws, cracks, corrosion, and other imperfections that could compromise integrity or safety.
- Interpret test results and determine whether materials or components meet required standards.
- Generate reports documenting findings for engineers, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Visual Inspection (VI):
Using the naked eye or optical aids to identify surface defects. - Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT):
Using a dye to reveal surface cracks and other flaws. - Magnetic Particle Testing (MT):
Examining ferromagnetic materials for surface and near-surface flaws. - Ultrasonic Testing (UT):
Using sound waves to detect flaws and measure material thickness.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems is a plus.
- Current AWS CWI is a plus.
