Compensation & Benefits

STARTING: $22.16 per hour, paid weekly. (All roles have a different pay rate; the starting rate in this department is $22.16.) Shift options, 12‑hour days:
Days (6:30 am and 6:30 pm) or Nights (6:30 pm to 6:30 am).

Job Summary
  • Performs all Product Packer, Indexer Operators, and responsibilities when the Product Packer, Index Operator, and Pull‑away is unavailable.
  • To ensure that all products are coded and properly bagged.
  • Slices/forks and bags finished product according to specifications/standards.
  • To ensure that all products are coded and properly bagged.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions Packers
  • Ensures each unit of product is coded and properly bagged before it is sent to shipping.
  • Ensures proper count for shipping.
  • Puts the proper amount of packages in each case or basket for shipping.
  • Ensures tray washer is stocked and functioning properly.
  • Removes non‑quality product from the line.
  • Resets or un‑jamms Forker‑Muffin.
  • Runs off and re‑wraps product.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas.
  • Maintains good safety practices at all times.
Indexer Operator
  • Visually inspects equipment for sanitary conditions prior to starting.
  • Indexes line for non‑standard product and uneven distribution into slicer.
  • Ensures product is properly forked.
  • Performs Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks and hourly checks.
  • Understands and performs all variety change‑overs.
  • Clears out pack‑stack when backed up.
  • Hands stack full trays if auto‑stacker is down.
  • Dumps full barrels (trash, scrap) into proper containers.
  • Checks dough schedule recap report for production run information.
  • Sets up machines for variety according to specifications.
  • Performs quality checks to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Puts catch pans in place.
  • Ensures blue gloves are worn to handle finished product.
  • Keeps area clean, sweeps floor, and empties crumb catch pans as needed.

  • Empties baked rejects, and floors sweeps into proper waste containers.
  • Blows or brushes (uses proper color) off conveyors during a variety change only and as needed.
  • Maintains good safety practices at all times.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervision.
Pullaway
  • Takes empty stacks of trays to the tray wash.
  • Loads and unloads trailers when necessary.
  • Corrects jams in the auto‑stocker as necessary by lifting or shifting the stack.
  • Operates and makes necessary adjustments to auto‑stocker.
  • Breaks down stacks to remove a broken tray.
  • Helps hand stack trays when packer needs assistance.
  • Tracks stacks on tally sheet and checks code during run.
  • Ensures proper count for shipping.
  • Keeps work area clean and sanitary; follows all Good Manufacturing Practices.
