Plant Superintendent

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing, is seeking a Plant Superintendent to join their team. As a Plant Superintendent, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the second shift at their Columbus facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Plant Superintendent

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000

• Provide overall leadership on second shift for safety, FSQA, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.
• Monitor and evaluate production processes, recommending methods to optimize yields, equipment operation, and process control while reducing waste.
• Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive, accountable work environment.
• Manage direct reports through performance reviews, development activities, and team building efforts.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, BRC, SQF, and all food safety standards, supporting plant food safety initiatives.

• 8-10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least five years in a management role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing regulations including FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data to improve productivity, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
