Continuous Improvement Technician
Walor North America is looking for a CI Technician to join its Continuous Improvement team. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling continuous improvements within the plant through training, leading cross functional teams, coaching of lean and problem solving methods, and assisting personnel in execution of improvements under the direction of the CEO, Plant Manager, and CI Manager.
What you will do- Adherence to federal and local law regulations, internal policies and other applicable rules, including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 18001 and ISO 18001 requirements
- Continuous improvement of work and activities
- Compliance with the corporate mission statement
- Cooperation with other people in spirit of mutual respect
- Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
- Represent the company in professional and respectful manner
- Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
- Project management (internal and international)
- Adherence to 5S principles
- Providing training in lean and problem solving methods as required for assignments
- Conducting time studies (i.e. set up time, full time and multi-moment studies)
- Lead CI Activities with Area owners and personnel
- Support implementation of Lean Improvements
- Participate in Process Mapping Events and Identify potential improvements
- Coach line supervisors
- Analyzing and improving the company work areas and procedures using standard work methods
- Document improvement activities and their benefits
- Other duties as assigned
- BS or Equivalent Certification or special training in time studies and lean manufacturing
- 1 – 3 years experience in manufacturing and production environments (preferably forging), and hands‑on experience working with time management systems. Additional experience working with people and groups of people with an understanding of how people function within a production environment.

- Location – The CI Technician role is based onsite at our Columbus facility
- Physical Demand – May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds
- Schedule – Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary
