Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Vista Packaging & Logistics is seeking a results driven Second Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the production floor. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production while supervising and developing team members. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in manufacturing, packaging, or logistics environments and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
POSITION DETAILS
•
• Supervise and coordinate all second-shift production activities to meet daily and weekly output targets
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production associates to drive performance and engagement
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor production metrics (efficiency, downtime, scrap, etc.) and implement improvements
• Collaborate with first shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity
• Maintain product quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications
• Identify and resolve operational issues in real time to minimize disruptions
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to support overall operations
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and timekeeping for shift employees
• Train new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.)
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, packaging, or logistics
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing production KPIs and performance metrics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production/ERP systems
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment
