Position:
Product Manager - Steel / Metallurgical Products
We are seeking a Product Manager with experience in steel manufacturing and continuous casting to support customers and drive product performance across North America. This role serves as both a technical subject matter expert and customer-facing partner, working closely with steel producers to optimize product applications and improve operational performance. This position requires regular travel to customer sites to provide technical support, manage product trials, and collaborate with customers on process improvements.
Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with steelmaking customers, serving as a technical advisor and product expert
- Provide on-site technical support and product guidance to help customers improve operational performance
- Collaborate with the sales team to support business growth and expand market share
- Manage and oversee product trials, testing, and conversion processes at customer facilities
- Support the introduction and implementation of new products and technologies
- Provide technical support during new business development and contract discussions
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction
- Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead and manage corrective action investigations and follow-up initiatives
- Help maintain and strengthen existing customer partnerships
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in steel manufacturing, preferably supporting continuous casting operations
- Strong technical understanding of steel production and casting processes
- Ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, and technical teams to solve problems and improve product performance
- Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer sites
- Physical requirements:
ability to travel frequently to customer facilities; ability to lift up to 35 lbs; ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and move within industrial environments

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year
