Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Production Manager to join their team. As a Production Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000
What's the Job?- Provide overall leadership for the department in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the production process, recommending methods to optimize yields, equipment operation, and process control while reducing waste.
- Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive work environment focused on ownership and accountability.
- Manage safety policies, ensure compliance with BRC and SQF standards, and support food safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve production-related issues and ensure equipment reliability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Meat/Agriculture Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least five years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing regulations (FDA/USDA, OSHA, EPA) preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.
