Pressure Boiler Operator-Building Operations & Maint

Job Description Summary

Conducts preventative maintenance and operates high pressure boilers to generate steam for heating and power generation.

• Inspect, clean, lubricate, paint, and repair high‑pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues. Work with and schedule inspectors for annual shutdowns.
• Test and conduct analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems.
• Record and maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
• Clean and maintain the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License, required.

• Three years of experience working with High Pressure Boilers.
• Experience with advanced control systems, preferred.
