Packaging Operator

JOB SUMMARY

The Packager is responsible for all aspects of product packaging including canning, and kegging finished product. This includes operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring that products meet quality standards, and performing routine inspections. This position is Monday-Thursday 10hr shift with occasional Friday work.

• Performing packaging operations including canning and kegging
• Ensuring pallets are safely wrapped for delivery/pick-up
• Ensuring timely packaging of a consistent product
• Maintaining detailed packaging records
• Working to minimize product loss and maximize efficiency
• Ensuring a safe, highly sanitary, and organized packaging area (tour ready)
• Alerting maintenance technician and packaging lead immediately of any equipment performance issues that impact production schedules or impact beer quality
• Performing designated quality control checks at various stages of packaging process
• Ensuring safety policies and sops are adhered to
• Working with quality control technician to ensure our product meets company standards.
• Maintaining compliance with all regulations (federal, state, and/or city)
• Participating in sensory program
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including, walking, standing, and/or lifting heavy items for extended periods.
• Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to follow proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
• Must work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
