METAL FABRICATOR ENTRY LEVEL

Entry level metal fabrication position operating a variety of power and hand tools such as drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers, orbital sanders and rivet guns. Focus on safety, speed and accuracy while assembling generator housings, tanks and stairs.

• Operate power hand tools such as drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers and orbital sanders, rivet gun.
• Safely, quickly, and accurately assemble generator housings, tanks, and stairs to satisfy customer requirements.
• Assist other team members by preventing schedule backups and correctly assembling products.
• Work in a manufacturing shop environment with regular exposure to dust.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform routine lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions as required.
• Regular and punctual attendance required.
• Check equipment for working order and assess the work area for safety.
• Read work orders (shop drawings), cut bills, and blueprints as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools: drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers, orbital sanders, tape measure, clamps, hammer, screwdrivers, grinders, and wrenches.
• Clean and grind a variety of metal as part of fabrication work.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Operate a forklift.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform routine lifting up to 50 lbs.

• High school diploma or GED; ability to read English.
• Ability to operate power hand tools.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Shop drawing and blueprint reading.
• Safety awareness.
• Quality orientation.
• Physical capability to regularly stand, walk, push, pull, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
• Routine lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Safety glasses and gloves required (will be provided), safety shoes required (will not be provided).
