Mars Petcare – Mars Petcare Operator 1 (2nd Shift) – Columbus, OH- Pay: $22.20/hour and $2 Shift Premium
- This site manufactures Petfood:
Pedigree, Iams, Nutro, Cesar, and Whiskas.
- NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Shift: 2nd (Afternoon)
Schedule 1:
Monday-Friday, 3pm – 11:30pm
Schedule 2: 2.2.3 Rotation, 7pm – 7am

Please note that this position begins with an initial training and onboarding phase. Candidates will be hired into the MPCO-1 position for the first 60 to 120 days of employment. Mars Petcare is growing their manufacturing production teams! The Mars Petcare Operator- 1 (2nd shift) ensures the safe and efficient flow of materials within the manufacturing operation, including timely movement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods using forklifts to support production schedules and operational efficiency. This role works closely with warehouse, production and the logistics team.
What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Passion to learn and develop within a technical role in manufacturing
- Proficient in computer software’s including MS Office and email
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours.
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions.
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Technical degree or certification(s)
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Forklift or other equipment certification.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Safely transport materials and finished goods between the production and storage areas using equipment such as forklifts.
- Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and documentation of materials.
- Support production schedules by delivering materials on time in the correct quantities.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Accomplish organization/team goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Any ad hoc tasks assigned by Manager or Team lead.
