Material Handler - Production

Base hourly wage

$20.22 per hour. Pay is based on location, skills, experience and other factors.

Material Handler & Industrial Cleaning Technician – 1st shift (7am-3pm) or 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) at Tectum, Inc., subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries.

• Work safely in a manufacturing environment and adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards.
• Ensure product quality and output standards are met and strive for continuous improvement.
• Participate in teamwork to meet and exceed production goals and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Perform heavy duty work, including removing and stacking finished boards, product assembly, and packaging.
• Attend required company training programs, including certification to become a forklift driver.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards.

• Industrial or manufacturing experience desired but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible day‑time hours, including overtime and occasional weekends.
• English language proficiency for reading and writing.
• Ability to follow work instructions and willingness to learn.

High school diploma or GED.

Manufacturing setting with extreme temperatures, uneven surfaces, loud noises, and dust. Basic PPE required: safety glasses, earplugs, and steel toe/composite boots. Additional PPE and training will be provided for specific tasks.

Regularly required to talk or hear; frequent standing, walking, using hands to handle, reach, lift up to a 20‑pound load, and occasionally up to a 75‑pound load. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
