Position Summary

The Glazing position inputs glass to frames, adhering units properly, and getting units ready for delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Adhere glass or other materials to assembled frames and doors using caulking or other adhesives
  • Install all complementary materials, such as insulation, gaskets, trim, glass stops, etc. so that completed units are ready for installation
  • Identify and correct issues to ensure quality control metrics are maintained
Work Experience & Requirements
  • Reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Glass and Glazing experience preferred, but not required
  • Construction and/or manufacturing experience working with large materials, including:
  • Reading a tape measure and performing basic fraction and decimal changes
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, including blueprints, to meet product specifications
  • Using caulking and other adhesives
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Operating equipment properly
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds), work in various positions, and handle strenuous tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to work in other capacities in the shop as needed
