Welding Engineer
Seeking a Welding Engineer to help Build the future of AI-driven robotics. Help develop systems that enable robots to adapt, learn, and weld in real-world environments—closing the skilled labor gap through intelligent automation.
What You’ll Do- Run weld parameter experiments (voltage, wire speed, travel speed)
- Partner with robotics engineers on automated motion strategies
- Test robotic welding systems (sensors, inspection, path planning)
- Fabricate and prep test coupons for experiments
- Travel to support customer applications
- Operate AI-powered robotic welding systems
- Perform manual welding when needed
- Cut, prep, and etch weld samples
- 3+ years in robotic welding (industrial environment)
- Experience with Yaskawa, ABB, KUKA, or FANUC robots
- Weld parameter development (steel, stainless, aluminum)
- Skilled in GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW
- Blueprint reading + weld symbol interpretation
- Experience with DoE (Design of Experiments)
- Team-oriented, problem-solver mindset
