Kimball Midwest - 2nd Shift Packer (Columbus, OH)

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operations products, is searching for a 2nd Shift Packer in our Columbus, OH distribution center. • Set up scale machine for proper weight of each box.
• Lifts waist to waist and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Fills boxes with parts until proper weight is indicated and affixes labels to boxes.
• Packs boxes onto shelf boxes.
• Visually inspects all merchandise for quality and checks for defects or bad plating.
• Accurately packages merchandise while maintaining a high production level.
• Documents quality standards including product accuracy, labeling quality, and country of origin accuracy.

• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; to make arithmetic calculations; and to follow and understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to concentrate and communicate with management and co-workers.
• Ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds waist to waist.
• Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
• Ability to frequently bend and twist the back.
• Ability to finely manipulate and grip objects.
• Ability to squat and reach.

This position pays $19 per hour plus $200 bonus opportunities.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm-11:00 pm. Climate controlled environment.
