Pay- Pay: $24.10 / hour

Manufacturing site producing Petfood lines:
Pedigree, Iams, Nutro, Cesar, and Whiskas.
Current Shift Schedule (first 60-120 days):
Shift: 2nd (Afternoon)
Schedule 1:
Monday-Friday, 3pm – 11:30pm
Schedule 2: 2.2.3 Rotation, 7pm- 7am

IMPORTANT: This position begins with an initial training and onboarding phase. Candidates will be hired into the MPCO‑1 position for the first 60 to 120 days. Following this period, you may transition to a new job title, updated responsibilities, and/or a shift schedule change. We maintain transparent communication during this transition.
Description of RoleThe Mars Petcare Operator – 2 (2nd Shift) is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products. This role operates and change‑over specified machinery, ensures efficiency and safety, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Maintain production line operations by preparing, operating, and troubleshooting equipment for setup, adjustments, and changeovers.
- Resolve production process problems and report production and quality data.
- Follow policies and procedures for equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Transport materials and finished goods between production and storage areas safely.
- Accept ownership of new and different requests to accomplish organization/team goals.
- Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by Manager or Team lead.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Proficient in computer software including MS Office and email.
- Perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs).
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, shifts lasting 12 hours.
- Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- Proficient in English for understanding, communicating, reading, and writing.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Technical degree or certification(s).
- Mechanically inclined.
- Experience operating or troubleshooting high‑speed equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
