This site manufactures pet food:
Pedigree, Iams, Nutro, Cesar, and Whiskas.

There will be a hiring event on Wednesday, July 1st to conduct interviews for these positions.

Mars Petcare Operator – 2 (2nd Shift) – Columbus, OH

• Current 2nd Shift (Afternoon) – 60‑120 days:
  • Schedule 1:
    Monday‑Friday, 3 pm – 11:30 pm
  • Schedule 2: 2‑2‑3 rotation, 7 pm – 7 am
• Future schedule will be communicated after the training and onboarding phase.

Mars Petcare Operator – 2 is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products. This role will operate and change‑over specified machinery, ensure efficiency and safety, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement.

• Maintain production line operations through preparing, operating and troubleshooting equipment for setup, adjustments and changeovers.
• Resolve production process problems and report production and quality data.
• Follow policies and procedures (equipment, raw and in‑process materials, and finished goods).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Transport materials and finished goods safely between the production and storage areas.
• Accomplish organization/team goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests.
• Complete any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by Manager or Team Lead.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Proficient in computer software, including MS Office and email.

• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10‑50 lb) and pushing/pulling (50‑300 lb).
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours.
• Operate in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment.

• Technical degree or certification(s).
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience operating or troubleshooting high‑speed equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

• Pay Range: $24.10/hour.
• Shift premium: $2.
