Russell Tobin's client, an American drug wholesale and distribution company, is hiring Production Associate in Columbus, OH.
Packaging Production Associate (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour (includes shift differential)
- Base Pay: $18.00/hour
- Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Training:
- One week of paid training on 1st shift (Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
- Training will primarily take place in a classroom setting.

Join a fast-paced manufacturing and production team responsible for packaging, processing, and preparing products for shipment. This role offers opportunities to work in different production areas while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Possible Work Assignments Decommission Product- Scan barcodes to decommission products
- Remove caps and empty product contents
- Perform basic entry-level production tasks
- Fill cartons with products
- Verify sterile labels and sterilization information
- Operate tape machine
- Stack completed cartons onto pallets
- Monitor production equipment
- Remove empty items from the production line
- Stop and clear minor machine jams
- Observe machine operation and report issues when needed
- Prepare packaging materials and equipment for production.
- Assist with operating packaging equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Escalate equipment issues according to established procedures.
- Package products according to quality standards and production specifications.
- Assist with production room cleaning and equipment sanitation.
- Complete required production, safety, compliance, and operational training.
- Follow all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet daily production goals.
- Report production or quality concerns promptly.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and use sound judgment.
- Ability to identify production and quality concerns.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production line experience preferred.
- Stand for 8–12 hour shifts.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive hand movements.
- Lift, carry, push, or move items weighing approximately 25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
