Job OverviewThe Machine Operator will operate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line while following Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
- Work effectively with others, demonstrating a One Team Cross‑Functional attitude.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes to drive change within the plant.
- Adhere to company General Manufacturing Policies and compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Keep the work area clutter‑free, clean, and organized.
- Receive introductory training on preventive maintenance, mold, neck and blow pin, and other mechanical changes.
- Operate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines (including wheels, reciprocating or shuttle machines) to produce quality bottles.
- Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.
- Conduct bottle inspections, such as drop tests, during production, packaging, and labeling.
- Perform audits, weigh checks, and quality inspections.
- Make machine adjustments to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repair on blow‑mold and support equipment.
- Immediately report any bottle abnormalities, defects, or quality issues.
- Monitor and replenish packaging material supply levels as needed.
- Pick up dropped bottles, place them into bins, and, if necessary, dispose them in the grinder.
- Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging of product according to customer requirements.
- Move finished goods to the designated area.
- Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other metrics.
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Follow instructions from the Lead Operator or Supervisor for specific job tasks.
- Receive assistance on unusual problems, while applying sound professional judgment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Recognize that duties may differ by plant based on equipment and plant design.
- Be prepared to perform reasonable mandatory overtime due to business needs.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic computer experience.
- Experience with blow mold machines.
- High School diploma or GED (preferred).
- Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date.

Employees frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.
WorkEnvironment
Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level is typically loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment is mandatory in the production department and other designated areas.
Compensation#IND MO Targeted Pay Range: $21.00 – $26.88 per hour
