Employment Status: Hourly Non-Exempt (12-Hour Rotating Shifts)
Shifts: Nights 5:50pm – 6am
Pay: $18.00 - $22.05 / hr (Night Shift + 10% Shift Differential)
About Engineered ProfilesWe are a mid‑sized, privately owned company valuing professional growth and personal development. Engineered Profiles seeks mechanically inclined individuals to be trained to run Plastic Extrusion lines. Through completion of our training matrix and strong job performance, the most skilled extrusion operators can earn up to $33 an hour. Starting pay is based on the level of experience a candidate has and will be assessed through a test given by one of our process technicians.
Our shifts run on a two‑week rotating schedule (basically two days on, two days off, with three‑day weekends). We're a 24/7 environment. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up the extrusion line, operating, tearing down, quality checks, and production reporting.

To set up and operate necessary equipment to produce a custom extruded profile that will meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Set up equipment (dies, screws, downline equipment, etc.) to make line production capable.
- Start up all machinery and equipment while making any adjustments necessary to obtain a high‑quality extruded product.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping by following all safety rules, reporting hazards, and keeping a clean work area.
- Ensure quality of extruded products by completing check sheets, color checks, SPC computer data entry, and any other required reports.
- Ensure packaging quality by providing required packing materials and correct packaging of products.
- Assist in training new employees by sharing knowledge and information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some manufacturing and/or technical experience desirable.
- Ability to use tape measure, length gauge, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Good mechanical aptitude and acceptable math skills (division, multiplication, fraction‑to‑decimal conversion, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of raw materials (virgin, regrinds, colorants, etc.) used in extrusion process.
- Displays consistent desire to do more than is asked to help coordinate processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and time‑sensitive work that can change rapidly.
- Must be able to work while standing for long periods.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy (70 lbs.) equipment and supplies.
- Able to work all shifts as needed.
