Job Summary
The Test Technician - bench is responsible for performing verification testing on circuit boards and various assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing and troubleshooting with basic meters of uninterruptible power systems equipment, such as inverters, rectifiers, chargers, static switches, AC regulators and associated equipment.
- Basic circuit analysis.
- Interpret schematics and assembly prints.
- Perform verification testing on circuit boards and various assemblies.
- Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.
- At least 5 years’ experience in power electronics, with a technology background and versatile hands‑on skills. Experience with power ranges of 480 VAC 3-phase and 240 VDC. Knowledge of DC/AC principles and electrical language.
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology;
Diploma or Certificate in an Electronics program or equivalent experience or military equivalent experience.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude and basic skills in soldering (through‑hole and SMT), electro‑mechanical assembly, and proficiency with hand tools.
- Knowledge in the use of multimeters and other basic instruments; familiarity with mult‑purpose test instruments such as oscilloscopes, component testers, digital test equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics, and parts lists, and understanding of electronic circuits.
- Computer literate with basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Team player with time‑management skills and ability to multitask with little supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Some knowledge of AC/DC power electronics, willing to work with voltages as high as 480 VAC 3-phase and 240 VDC.
