Description of the Role:
The Packaging Operator
- Line 6 is a multi-skilled associate responsible for maximizing the efficiency of packing lines and identifying and implementing continuous improvement while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
Previous manufacturing OR warehousing experience related to production, maintenance, supply chain, logistics, and/or quality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and email communication
Physical Requirements:
Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certification
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Troubleshooting experience with mechanical machinery
Knowledge around Food processing & Quality procedures
Experience with packaging equipment
What will be your key responsibilities?
Maintain optimal packaging line efficiency and promptly escalate any deviations from standards or schedules.
Support peers in achieving the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards throughout the packing hall.
Take responsibility for achieving the required GMP/GHP packaging scores.
Ensure cleaning regimes are consistently upheld and executed to the highest standards.
Actively participate in operational processes that drive business performance and continuous improvements.
Perform additional tasks and ad hoc requests as needed.
