Job Summary
The Test Technician - bench is responsible for performing verification testing on circuit boards and various assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing and troubleshooting with basic meters on uninterruptible power systems equipment, such as inverters, rectifiers, chargers, static switches, AC regulators and associated equipment.
- Basic circuit analysis.
- Interpret schematics and assembly prints.
- Perform verification testing on circuit boards and various assemblies.
- Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.
- At least 5 years of experience in power electronics, with a technology background, versatile hands‑on abilities and good analytical skills. Experience with 480 VAC 3‑phase and 240 VDC power and fundamentals of DC/AC principles and electrical language.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Diploma or Certificate in an electronics program, or equivalent experience or military equivalent experience.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude with basic soldering skills (through‑hole and SMT), electro/mechanical assembly, and proficiency with hand tools.
- Knowledge of multimeters and other basic instruments; familiarity with oscilloscopes, component testers, and digital test equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics and parts lists, and an understanding of electronic circuits.
- Computer literacy and basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Team‑oriented, self‑managed, multitasking ability, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of AC/DC power electronics and willingness to work with high voltages up to 480 VAC 3‑phase and 240 VDC.
