About the JobGFS Chemicals is seeking a Chemical Handling Technician Trainee to join our RAC Division at our McKinley Avenue location. The Chemical Handling Technician Trainee is responsible for participating in the production, handling, and repacking activities of bulk chemical materials into smaller packages. This position involves working with solids and liquid chemicals. The trainee will undergo a comprehensive training program to learn and develop the necessary skills to safely handle chemicals, follow operating procedures, collaborate with quality control teams, package finished goods, and accurately document all activities.
Key Responsibilities- Follow written operating procedures including record keeping of required information
- Actively participate in Chemical Handling Technician trainee program to further development and career progression
- May utilize pumps, scales, pallet jacks, forklifts, mixers, automatic or semi automatic equipment to transport transfer, or bottle products and or components
- Work with quality control to ensure that the raw materials are acceptable, adjust batches to meet quality criteria, and verify that finished goods, meet specifications
- Package finished goods into a wide range of containers from drums to vials
- Repacking finished goods to alternative configurations to fulfill orders
- Verify and apply labels and include other documentation to be included with finished goods
- Count and verify product and packaging levels
- Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement programs
- Enter information and data into the ERP system
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Core
