Sanitation - Part-Time

New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready-to-eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick-service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania, as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

STARTING: $23.29 per hour, paid weekly.

Shift available, 10-hour PART-TIME: 6am-4:30pm Friday and Saturday Only

Shift available, 10-hour PART-TIME: 6am-4:30pm Sunday and Monday Only

Cleans equipment, utensils, walls, floors, ceilings and exterior grounds of the facility.

• Responsible for disassembling, cleaning and re-assembling all equipment assigned.
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas at all times.
• Responsible for maintaining good safety practices at all times.
• Responsible for maintaining facility in compliance with all internal and external requirements to produce safe, legal and quality food.
• May be responsible for checking and maintaining interior and external pest control devices.

• Must complete and be competent in all required FSQA, Safety and Job training.
• Must observe and understand all company rules, follow all safety programs, wear proper Personal Equipment (PPE) during the performance of job duties, and work in a safe manner at all times.
• Properly uses cleaning chemicals as specified on manufacturers label
• Properly reads, comprehends and completes required forms
• Conducts post cleaning evaluations to ensure equipment is ready for production
• Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring.
• Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the approved GFSI certification standard and other third-party audits.

Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Able to climb extension ladder and work e to maneuver and work in confined spaces with variations in temperature, humidity and air quality. Able to lift and hold objects overhead for extended periods of time. Able to stand and/or stoop for the full shift. Able to communicate and work effectively with all employees.

Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner. Able to be forklift certified.
