Production Manager

Calgon Carbon Corporation seeks a Production Manager III to lead daily manufacturing operations at our activated carbon facility. You will manage production schedules, resources, and teams to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals while ensuring strict environmental and regulatory compliance. This role drives continuous improvement using lean tools, analyzes performance metrics, and resolves production issues. You'll collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality to optimize processes, support capital projects, and develop frontline leaders in a safety-focused, mission-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Develop and manage production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline teams
• Drive continuous improvement using lean/CI tools and performance metrics
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality to optimize processes
• Support and execute capital and improvement projects within the plant
• Manage production budgets and monitor cost performance
• Promote a safety-focused, collaborative, and accountable culture on the plant floor
