FAB Hardware​/Laser Assistant 2nd Shift

Job Title

Supports various departments on shop floor including but not limited to:
Fabrication, Hardware insertion, Shipping/Packaging, Powder (prep)

OTJ + cross training provided

Will also train in the Assembly of Metal Cabinetry and ancillary products for Power, Telecommunication and Technology industries.

Will train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.

Skills sets; either to be learned on the job or previous experience helpful:

• Ability to read/learn to read and accurately interpret prints.
• Previous knowledge, experience interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.
• Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.
• Ability to learn Hardware insertion.
• Operate Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use a variety of power and hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs)
• Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of an 8 or 10 hour shift.
• Attention to detail and fine tactical ability.
• Organizational skills.
• Forklift and Pallet jack experience.
• Reliable/dependable attendance record. Ability to take direction; working as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

Preferred:

• Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
• Job Shop experience preferred.

Education:

High school or equivalent
