Heidelberg Materials seeks a Construction Terminal Associate to support safe, efficient movement of cement and other construction materials at our manufacturing terminal. In this field-based role, you'll operate forklifts and loaders, load and unload trucks or railcars, perform inspections and basic equipment maintenance, and keep accurate shipping and inventory records. You'll work in a safety-first, team-oriented environment with opportunities to build technical skills, grow your career, and contribute to sustainable, high-quality construction materials used in critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor terminal equipment for loading and unloading construction materials
- Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and housekeeping of terminal facilities
- Safely operate forklifts, loaders, and related material-handling equipment
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures and documentation requirements
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory records accurately in terminal systems
- Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and plant personnel to meet delivery schedules
- Assist with sampling, testing, and visual inspection of materials as required
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and process deviations promptly
- Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives at the terminal
Required Skills

- Heavy equipment operation (loaders, skid steers)
- Basic mechanical maintenance
- Lockout/tagout and industrial safety practices
- Inventory and shipping/receiving documentation
- Use of terminal or warehouse management systems
- Reading load tickets and bills of lading
- PPE and hazard recognition
- Basic math and measurement
