Midwest Cards creates energy, anticipation, and unforgettable hobby moments — in-store, online, and on stream. The Social Media Manager is responsible for turning those moments into visibility, engagement, and growth. This role specializes in understanding what actually moves the needle on social platforms — what drives reach, saves, shares, comments, and conversions — and executing content accordingly.
You are not just posting content. You are captivating an audience. This role reports to the Brand & Content Marketing Manager and works closely with the Creative Lead and On-Air Talent to deploy high-performing content across platforms. This is a highly execution-focused role with measurable impact.
Core ResponsibilityDrive social growth and engagement through disciplined, high-quality execution. You organize, write, publish, optimize, and iterate content with precision — ensuring Midwest Cards consistently shows up in feeds in a way that feels unmistakably on-brand and high energy.
Key Accountabilities- Platform Growth & Optimization
- Execute daily social publishing across platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, Facebook, etc.)
- Understand platform algorithms and optimize for reach and engagement
- Monitor trends and adapt content formats quickly
- Test hooks, captions, post timing, and creative structures
- Identify opportunities to increase shareability and retention
- Content Organization & Deployment
- Maintain structured content calendar in alignment with Brand & Content Manager
- Organize raw content from:
Live breaks, Big pulls, In-store moments, Events, Product releases - Turn raw moments into polished, high-performing posts
- Ensure consistency in cadence and quality
- Creative Writing & Copy Excellence
- Write compelling hooks that stop the scroll
- Craft captions that balance energy, clarity, intrigue, brand voice
- Develop short-form scripts for reels and short videos
- Maintain high taste in language and tone
- Elevate everyday content into memorable storytelling
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Lead on visual execution
- Coordinate with On-Air Talent for promo scripts and social‑specific cuts
- Implement strategic direction from Brand & Content Manager
- Provide feedback on what content formats are working
- Performance Tracking & Iteration
- Track engagement, reach, watch time, follower growth, and conversions
- Report weekly on what is working and why
- Adjust formats based on data
- Build repeatable playbooks for high-performing content types
- Engagement rates increase consistently.
- Reach expands beyond existing audience.
