Goal:
To advance the mission of Central Ohio Youth for Christ, including affiliates and subsidiaries, by working as part of a team to implement YFC's 5 Essentials and Holistic Community Development Model with excellence among youth in Franklinton, and to grow the abilities and skills to lead effectively in a Christian ministry.

• Responsible for helping lead outreach to local middle school students.
• Responsible for helping facilitate holistic model programming at City Life Center.
• Responsible to fulfill City Life staff, team, and internship requirements
• Responsible to fulfill COYFC spiritual responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Help lead outreach to middle school students
• Help lead In School Mentoring Groups at local middle schools.
• Connect with Franklinton youth via neighborhood and school based outreach.
• Lead and organize various sports and educational programs at the City Life Center
• Help connect youth from sports & outreach to spiritual programming.
• Serve as a godly role model for youth, engaging them relationally and spiritually.
• Facilitate spiritual and holistic programming
• Contribute to implementation of Holistic Model Programming, recruit students and assist volunteers, helping students grow in areas of YFC's Holistic Model.
• Engage students relationally and spiritually via YFC's Relational Ministry Actions
• Become an excellent practitioner and champion of the YFC 5 Essentials, leading a wider volunteer team toward excellence.
• Fulfill City Life Center team responsibilities
• Work with City Life Center team to handle student discipline promptly and safely
• Diligently and proactively work with team to keep Center clean and operational
• Regularly participate in City Life internship learning opportunities
• Attend City Life Center staff team meetings
• Fulfill COYFC staff responsibilities
• Show up ready to work on time and demonstrate a teachable attitude
• Regularly check and promptly respond to work related e-mail. Fill out timesheet weekly. Assist with data entry and attendance tracking as needed
• Support Leadership Development training efforts
• Attend quarterly COYFC Staff meetings and monthly Student Ministry Team meetings (if available)
• Support Development fundraising efforts by inviting 2 new attendees per year to See the Story tours and/or Be the Story
• Fulfill Middle School School Site Responsibilities
• Attend all Middle School Camps and overnights as scheduled.
• Help lead outreach to youth at local middle schools, including in school mentoring groups.
• Help facilitate and lead middle school small groups.
• Help coach, facilitate, and amplify the ministry of middle school ministry volunteers.
• Assist in creation and implementation of games & activities at the City Life Center.

Spiritual Responsibilities:

Because COYFC and its subsidiaries are a part of the same faith-based organization and share a faith mission and set of values, we require all employees to consistently apply and live according to the religious mission and theological beliefs. Each staff member, regardless of role, is asked to:

• Articulate and uphold COYFC religious beliefs and practices at work and outside of work. Each employee serves to represent the religious message and mission of COYFC (as outlined in the Statement of Faith and Mission) to the broader community.
• Be ready and willing to lead and contribute to distinctly Christian activities such as devotional worship or prayer services.
• Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC

Student Ministries:

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard, to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

As an employee of Youth for Christ and a minister of the Gospel, COYFC expects all employees to:

• Seek God's guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
• Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
• Regularly share the gospel message with students who come into contact with COYFC ministries
